Born in New South Wales, grown up in Canberra, and made a name for himself in Western Australia—that's Australian cricketer Jason Behrendorff's biography, in short. A talented left-arm quickie with a tall frame and the ability to swing the ball both ways and extract bounce from any surface, Behrendorff is considered a new ball specialist. He made his first-class debut for Western Australia in 2011. In his first season, he picked up 13 wickets. The 2013-14 Sheffield Shield saw a blazing Behrendorff who took 40 wickets and finished as the second-highest wicket-taker in the tournament. He topped it off with another season of incredible domestic performances. In the 2014-15 season, he played a vital role in Western Australia's Matador BBQ One-Day Cup success and Perth Scorcher's BBL success. This led to him being named the domestic cricketer of the year. Behrendorff made his international debut in a T20I series against India in 2017. In his second match of the series, he made four of India's top-order batsmen his victims. His ODI debut came in 2019 against India also. He was also part of the Australian squad for the 2019 World Cup.
